Services & Worship

Sundays at 10:00am: Holy Communion - Rite II (Rite I on 1st Sundays)

At the celebration of Holy Communion, we give thanks for Jesus’ gift of himself as spiritual and sacramental refreshment. The Eucharist is structured around the actions of taking, blessing, breaking, and sharing the gifts of bread and wine, taken in faith as the body and blood of Christ. Many portions of the service are said by the clergy and congregation, along with hymns led by the organist and church choir. Selections from both the long choral tradition of Anglican Church and more contemporary hymnody are featured. Rite II is the more modern form of the service, while Rite I is the more traditional style.

Wednesdays at 12:00pm: Holy Communion - Healing & Anointing (Advent & Lent)

During the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent, we offer a quick, midday service of Holy Communion, Healing Prayer, and Anointing with Oil. During this service, prayers are offered for those who need healing of mind, body, or soul, and an opportunity to have laying on of hands, prayer, and unction (Anointing with Oil) is given. There is then a quick communion service, with no music or sermon. The service lasts around 30-40 minutes.

Morning Prayer:

Occasionally during the year, when necessity dictates, we will have a service of Morning Prayer instead of Holy Communion. This worship service is one of the oldest services of the Anglican tradition, combining Scripture, prayer, hymns, canticles, anthems, and a sermon. As with Holy Communion, singing is led by the organist and choir, with selections from both the historic choral tradition of Anglican Church and more contemporary hymns.
